There aren’t many better ways to spend a week in March than gliding over the turquoise waters and glistening bubbles of Cape Verde. Whether launching off a stunt ramp, smashing out a plume of spray, admiring an inquisitive turtle or hacking into your next trick, the senses get a lot of stimulation. Cape Verde is our longest running clinic and each March we’re happily reminded why! The forecast wasn’t looking up to much, but the trades delivered, even if the 7ms never left the comfort of their bags. Every kiting craft enjoyed the warm Atlantic, carving turns on the foil, airs (and we mean airs), tacks, foot changes, jump transitions, toe side tacks and spray on the surfboards, with a topping of twin tip jumps, air gybes, grabs and back rolls. It really is the ultimate playground to dust off the winter cobwebs and get excited for what’s to come. The usual banter off the water, a few cheeky sundowners at Mitu and Djo’s, and last but not least, Mamadu’s omnipresent smile. Love it:)
