One word – Magic
Whether it was the group, Dakhla or the utter bliss of Winging we’ll never know, but what an absolute humdinger of a magical week. The similarities are uncanny, to the uninitiated what is all the fuss about? A windy spot in the desert and mowing the lawn holding an inflatable papillon. However, once you’ve been there and done that, you’ve truly drunken from the chalice of pure unadulterated fun. The highs and lows, the celebrations and spat dummies, the big front wing or the small one conundrums, the occasional (daily) black witch on an unsuspecting patch of neoprene, the incomprehensible to the penny dropping. You really can bottle these emotions. There’s so much to learn, and so much pleasure from the learning. What can we say but a huuuuuge and heartfelt thank you to those of you who joined us on our inaugural wing foil week. Some of you came a long, long way to make it happen! An eclectic week of progress. Regardless, it was all about becoming more comfortable and confident, gaining understanding and control, flying with ease, trying out different combos of kit, toe siding, gybing and tacking, and all the subtle little tweaks that join the dots. It goes without saying that we can’t wait for the next one. And of course a huge thank you to everyone at Dakhla Attitude for always being the most wonderful hosts:)
