2026 was certainly a vintage year, bona fide SA, non-stop solid winds, generously delivered by the lorry load! What a week. The action didn’t stop either, but for a well earned lunch and the eventual white flag of exhaustion, by which time any excuse was welcome. There were plenty of surfboard skills being thrown down, smooth carves, board tricking foot changes, a few sneaky tacks. Some foiling mastery, both near and far! On the twin tips there was an explosion of confidence, infinite jumping, good height, grabs , rolls, loops, doubles, toeside lift offs, confusing moves with even more confusing names along with a year’s worth of smiles. Off the water we all indulged in the fabulous South African hospitality, great food and wine. Time definitely passes way too quickly when you’re having this much fun.
