Always enjoy our time in the Western Sahara. Hôtel Dakhla Attitude Beach Club never disappoints, and once again they have made many improvements, unfortunately including the bars – so getting to dinner on time could be a tad challenging. A couple of stonking weeks. It has to be said though that the first group had 24/7 wind, never too much and never too little, whereas as our second week was not it’s usual self. Still had 5 from 6 but sometimes a tad lighter and as such no photos of that posse, as all the water time was spent coaching:) Bags of fun on and off the water. Special mentions must go to Jackson for not only looking the part, but also a seriously horrible wipeout, Johnny got his “F16”, James overcame his nemesis, Ashley “I’ll never jump” Overton did, Szymura nailed the front loop, Lucy was indeed in the sky…, Andy’s jumping like a jack rabbit, Marcel is moments from the back to blind, Stewey’s unhooked raleys were the real deal, and Professor Matt of Wilce McThud fame kept himself in one piece whilst still showing the young guns just how it’s done…. As for the second instalment, Matt stole the whole of the moon and raleyed his socks off, Miguelito became addicted to his beach jump starts with downloops, Bernadette fully cracked kiting (welcome to the club), Magnus flicked his raleys and showed some good height, Lotte was going big, Andy stayed for longer and when he wasn’t kite looping he was invariably riding backwards, raley to blind is in the post, Bill was recovering from a nasty hamstring but still managed to kite loop and tack, Serge lost his strap on and mastered strapless, Ian threw down some large back loops and hefty strapless carves, whilst Victoria rediscovered her strapless skills. If you’re still with us – well done. Here’s to next year:)
