Our second week in Sri Lanka was unusually light – for there. Still lorry loads of action and the learning curves were defying gravity, and as for the mood, good humour like the best of holidays. Our cheeks are still hurting. Where to start…? Borke and Konrad are morphing into each other, matching black sock and matching dark slides, get a room:) Steve shared his time out equally between international rescue hero and looping astronaut, extended leg one foots and those board offs… Mags went from zero to bona fide hero, awesome week’s work there. Johnny stayed to play for a few more days, some lovely raleys, great popping and the ab did it’s job of getting the knees up. Mark’s front loops became a topic of conversation, slow, high and impeccably controlled. Jackson smiled his way through a plethora of trick, boners, stiffys, dark slides, blind, tacks – must try harder. New Mum Cari demonstrated that kiting is like riding a bike, at least for her. Time off didn’t show and as for her new strapless skills, joyous. Rob added some altitude and downlooped his way through many a carve. Kat’s unhooked blinds were moving on nicely towards Chapter 3! Even Foxy tried to get in on the act joining us for simi sessions and video debriefs. And a big thank you to Felix for supplying the chocolate. Coconut in the pool anyone?
